Geospatial Database Administrator Vacancy

An Oil Palm Company in Kalimantan needs A Geospatial Database Administrator

The Geospatial Database Administrator (GDBA) is a database
administrator who is trained to manage and maintain geospatial
database in ArcGIS server. The candidate is expected to be the
technical leader in IT development related to geospatial data
warehousing and dissemination. This position will be assisted by a
GIS specialist in matters related to GIS datasets.

Role & Responsibility
i. Implements and maintains smooth operation of enterprise geodatabase.
ii. Reviews database design and integration of system.
iii. Maintains security and integrity controls.
iv. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to
geodatabase management, and monitor transaction activity and
utilization.
v. Maintain proper records and metadata for all database layers.
vi. Provide technical assistance, backup strategies, developing data
integration, extraction and automation services.
vii. Design and maintain data dissemination strategies over the
enterprise requirement.
viii. Creating, deploying and maintaining user interface in web environment.

Education Background
Candidates must have minimum a B.A./B.S. degree in Computer Science or
related discipline.

Experience Required
Above 3 years working experience as database administrator, on top of that, :
i. Experience in WAN/LAN management is a must.
ii. Experience in Web design is a must.
iii. Experience in managing a server is a must.
iv. Experience in geodatabase administration is preferred but not a must.
v. Experience in ESRI software suite is an added advantage.

Special Knowledge, Quality and Skills Required
i. Extremely detail-oriented, and able to follow clear methodologies
for troubleshooting and development.
ii. Working knowledge in Microsoft Server & Oracle.

Note :
i. The candidate will be provided with training at ESRI facilities to
get familiarize with ESRI ArcGIS server during the implementation
stage.
